Commodore's Message
Our club was established in 1907 along the banks of the beautiful Kennebecasis River in the town of Rothesay. This river offers some of the best sheltered sailing and powerboating within New Brunswick. The Kennebecasis River also connects to the massive Saint John River system and allows boaters to enter the Bay of Fundy for coastal adventures as well... really the best of both worlds!
Over the past several years, our club has invested and worked hard to become a premium club that welcomes new and old members as well as visiting seafarers. The club is a full-service club complete with on-site staff. We have witnessed the development of both fuel and pump-out services, improved mooring fields, improved boat launch ramp, construction and reinforcement of new docks, and ground improvements that are reflective of our picturesque location on the river. As our club has developed significantly over the past several years, it still comes down to the people and the friends that gather for the weekly club racing, the annual river cruise, or just the quiet times while rafting together at Scouts Beach. There is always a friendly, helpful RYC member in any direction you turn. That is what our club is about – the people and the experiences – it’s the fabric that makes RYC unique
unto its own.
We always respect our past... and look forward to the future! So please hoist the RYC pennant with pride wherever your adventure brings you!
See you at the docks and on the water!
